Van servicing

Vans cover high mileage, carry heavy loads, and often spend their days on short, stop-start runs between jobs. Regular servicing keeps them reliable and catches small problems before they leave you stuck at a customer’s address.

We service vans in line with the manufacturer’s schedule, which preserves the manufacturer’s warranty on newer vans, and we can update the online service record so your van’s history stays complete. That’s worth having when it comes time to sell or part-exchange.

Van repairs we carry out

The parts that wear fastest on a working van are the ones we see most often:

• Brakes, which work hard when a van is fully loaded
• Clutches and dual mass flywheels, especially on vans used in town or for towing
• Suspension, including springs and shock absorbers under heavy loads
• Tyres, with load ratings matched to your van
• AdBlue and DPF faults, common on modern diesel vans used for short local runs
• Timing belts and wet belts, including the wet belt fitted to many Ford EcoBlue diesel Transits

Larger jobs, such as engine and gearbox work, are carried out at our workshop in Minster on Sea on the Isle of Sheppey.

Van MOTs coming soon!

We’ll soon be carrying out Class 4 and Class 7 MOTs at Sittingbourne, which covers vans up to 3,500kg. If your van fails, we can usually repair it and retest it the same day, so you’re not off the road for longer than necessary. Have the MOT done before 11am and you’ll also get a breakfast voucher through our MOT Breakfast Club.

Vans over 3,500kg have their annual test at a heavy vehicle testing station, but we can still look after their servicing and repairs.
